After I initially saw an ad about these armrests, I was interested in purchasing the paw protector versions for the backseat doors to replace a set of door protectors that always fell off. I have a 70 lb dog that likes to climb up to the window. Since sitting these paw protectors to the dogs in the backseat, they have not fallen off. They feel very sturdy. Sit perfectly on the back doors of my Jeep Gladiator. They don’t budge when I shut the door and my dog can rest on them without scratching the doors. Glad I overcame my initial reluctance. Oh, the window goes up and down without any issue or scratches. Two thumbs up and a recommendation from me.

It's a great idea since a dog is gonna jump up anyway, it gives them a more supportive shelf to stand on. As a protector, just OK–it's not wide nor long enough by at least 4-6 inches in both directions to adequately protect my door (or even to just fully block buttons and controls) on a Rivian R1T--the curtain could have been much longer, maybe even unfolding width-wise too. It need velcro to securely allow windows to go up and down since dogs are gonna shove it around, and I feel I need to pair it with a secondary cover with wider coverage.
Its a novel idea, but poor execution. Its more trouble than its worth. Falls off every time i close my door. It comfortable, when its on, which is about half the time. It does trap most of the drool and spittle, which is nice. Its not worth the price or the hassle if constantly resetting it

The armrest is designed to be bent so it can hold firmly on your door. Don’t worry about applying some force — it has a stainless-steel plate inside, so you won’t break it. Once it’s bent to fit snugly, it should stay secure even when closing the door or hitting bumps in the road.
We have a small (12lb) terrier who often struggled to stand up and look out the car window. This Paw Protector has proven to be an instant win, as our dog now has a larger, flatter area on which to brace her front legs when she wants to remind the neighborhood who is really in charge. Well worth it!

Protects the top of the door well. I do wish the roll down door protection was about three inches wider.
Not a universal fit doesn’t work
I bought this knowing I’m gonna use it for the driver side of my ram 2500. I like it longer than the smaller ones. Only wish they made this one in ripstop with a pocket would be nice. I’ve purchased three of these in different sizes. Love the quality, great product .
